Swanage the Gem of the Dorset coast is known by many as the ideal family resort is usually high in the sunshine records for the south coast. The normally safe and gently sloping beach is suitable for bathing at most times and was flying a European Blue flag award during the summer of 2020 as has been the case for many past summers.
